Location Note:This internship will occur in Worcester, Massachusetts for the Summer of 2026 with the intention that this candidate be local to the Seattle/Washington State area for potential full time employment post-graduation. Generous housing & relocation stipends will be provided to aid in your travel and living in Worcester, MA for the summer program. If this candidate were to be hired for a full time role upon graduation, the candidate would be a field employee in the general Seattle area (~2+/- hours give or take).
Our Core Commercial team is seeking exceptional college students for our Summer Internship Program, which provides meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth, as well as rewarding career path options. This internship provides a dynamic opportunity to gain field experience in insurance risk solutions while contributing to strategic projects that enhance safety, risk evaluation, and client service delivery. As a Field Intern, you will collaborate with Risk Solutions Consultants and cross-functional teams to support initiatives that improve tools, processes, and insights used in risk analysis and mitigation.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Researching and applying technical information to support current Risk Solutions service efforts.
Attending co-surveys with experienced Risk Solutions staff to learn and develop technical and consulting skills.
Completing Capstone project and presentation to senior management on a relevant Risk Solutions topic.(Possibly involving innovation and the use of technology to help improve Risk Solutions efficiencies.)
Assisting with the research and development of draft Risk Solutions support resources.
Assisting field consultants with pre-visit preparation work including account research.
Developing account loss trend analyses.
Following-up with customers to gain commitment to move forward with field consultant recommended services such as water/temperature sensors, IR thermography/vibration testing, drone survey, wearable technology sensors, slip meter testing and fleet telematics.
Following-up on the status of open Recommendations by calling customers, answering questions, aiding as needed, and entering notesinto our loss control system.
Assisting Technical Directors and AVPs with assigned projects.
Create and present a final presentation to management and leadership members at the close of the internship program highlighting the work you accomplished throughout the summer
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or advanced degree program
Preferred Degrees: Fire Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Safety Management, Environmental Health, Insurance, or related fields
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
Ability to commit to a full time 10-week internship program
Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

The target hiring range for this role may vary based on geographic location and other factors, including merit or performance, demonstrated proficiency, skills for the role, education, travel requirements, and experience. Additional compensation may include an annual bonus (which could take the form of a general bonus, sales incentive, or short-term incentive), long-term incentive or spot recognition awards.
